In seven words, why do you write stories?

I can't do it in seven! I have to have eight/nine.

[To] Awaken the spirit of exploration inside each man.

What's your answer?

To show life as I see it. (And yes, it took about a dozen tries to get it into seven words)

"To seek, understand, and share the truth."

But that applies more to writing in general. All my story writing attempts aren't really worthy of being called stories...
