Your first stop for EPIIIIIIC MUSIC! #1

This post's title (above) is to be spoken in a cheesy radio host voice.

Now that we have that cleared up...

Epic music. I'm fond of music while I do .........everything. In fact, today a dear family friend (who is staying over for a couple of days) asked me, "Can you do anything without breaking out in song?"

My mom said "NO!!!" before I could utter the same word in a slightly cheerier tone. My poor Madre.

But this post is about listening to music. The joys of singing shall wait for another day.

Perhaps I have already said that I'm an avid writer. I'm finishing up my little Maid Marion project right now (which is at a reeeeally exciting spot!) and I've begun listening to music at the same time as I weild my pen.

I like to find music that corresponds with the kind of scene I'm writing. For example, when Robin is about to slay Marion in a sword duel because she is unrecognizable (dressed as a royal page) I'll find the perfect piece for listening--- most likely a soundtrack from a great action movie.

The piece I want to share now is perfect for chase scenes, which happens to be what I am currently working on with Marion.

And yes, it is from a video game. Halo has an EPIC soundtrack... though I don't actually play, myself.

Enjoy!

And tell me what you think...

I love listening to soundtracks. It's almost the only stuff I listen to, actually. Some of my favorites: Peter Pan, Chronicles of Narnia, Hook, Night at the Museum, National Treasure, ET, Star Wars, Pride and Prejudice. I like select tracks from Harry Potter, Atlantis, Dinosaur, and Treasure Planet. I don't have to like the movie to enjoy the music.

I rarely listen to anything else. Lol...

I love video game soundtracks, especially the background music from old games like for the original Nintendo.
